The Equatorial Guinean community in the United Kingdom wants the government of the United Kingdom, the international community and their media platforms that we will not stand silenced anymore against the gross violation of our civil and human rights; 40 years of dictatorship, corruption, tortures, assassination, kleptocracy and terror ARE ENOUGH.

We cannot remain silenced any longer when our rights are being violated daily by senior government officials and their associates. Our human and civil rights are denied at home, where we are suffering with one of the opaquest governments in the world and abroad, where we lack appropriate, serious and professional diplomatic representation and the corruption and violation of civil rights is rampant.

We would like to invite your organisation to our first demonstration in the United Kingdom against the abuse of power and tyranny of our government on British soil. We will be presenting our civil society and our plea to our government and the international community.

The 3rd of August 2019 marked 40 years of dictatorship headed by Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, making him the longest dictatorship in modern history and one of the deadliest. We, as citizens of the world and residence in the United Kingdom make a plea to all the international community to denounce the abuses carried by government officials and their representative; we urge you as well to support the social movements that are risking and losing their lives for changing our society.

Yours Sincerely,

Equatorial Guinean community in the U.K.
